well, maybe this goes to show how blur i can be.
all this while that i'm reading "In Her Shoes" by Jennifer Weiner, it never occurred to me that there's a movie of the same name, same story, starring Shirley MacLaine and Cameron Diaz.
so, well, i may go and rent the DVD, but i supposed Cameron Diaz plays the part of Maggie...and a check on the web site, and well, i am right... - no big deal ... as for Toni Collette who was in "The Sixth Sense", I'd watched that movie, but all i could recall was the boy and Bruce Willis, and that the boy was in fact communicating with a dead person in Bruce Willis's character...but Bruce Willis was cool not playing to Die is Hard...
Incidentally, he would be back as John McClane in Live Free or Die Hard in 2007.
anyhow ... back to the novel, a nice read although i exercised my speed reading through a few pages ... ok, more than a few ... and for every jerk you might find in a guy, you should be able to find another gentleman to be your significant other.
watching 11:14, no, I'm not sitting and watching at the clock, but watching a DVD titled 11:14, and it basically shows nobody lives alone, everyone's lives is connected somehow.
an innocent event in one person's live could and might change that of another's.

anyway, was also listening to Jay Chou's new song (黄金甲) for the movie - Curse of the Golden Flower.
and, if you look under Audio at the side bar, there's a jc clip, that is the "teaser" song of the above. "teaser" because it contains Jay Chou's commentary.
I watched this DVD yesterday, and I have to admit, I do not quite get it...
There was really not much of acting from Clive Owen, his character was covered up for most part of the movie; Jodie Foster? Not much from her either. Willem Defoe, the Green Goblin reduced to a mere supporting role of not much importance. The main characters appears to be that of Denzel Washington and his side kick...his character plays that of a hostage negotiator, but there's not much negotiation going on...
I thought the plot to get hold of the deposit box was quite brilliant, but again, how did Clive Owen's character knew about this particular box? Was he an ex-employee that somehow got to know the secret? It also appears they managed to slip away during the commontion when all the so-called hostages rushed out to the streets, and it must be so chaotic that no one noticed that there's a couple that slipped away? I also caught some parts that Clive Owen stayed in the bank for a week before coming out from that secret compartment they built, via 2 boxes of DELL computers...interesting, that there could 2 spare DELL computers lying on the floor of what looks like a store room...or maybe those were just empty boxes, but only 2 DELL empty boxes?
Maybe Jesgirl has some ideas, but frankly, this is one of those movies that caught me dumbfounded of what the heck was all that all about?
