practical?
living in our high rise buildings, it's dangerous for anyone, not just the maid to be leaning out of the window to clean them...
so, i have this idea of nailing a hook into the wall, probably just below the windows, and there would be a belt to hook on to it - something those mountain climbers used comes to mind - and so, if someone happens to fall out of the window, this belt might be able to save them...
you know, we have all sorts of upgrades, like lift stopping on every floor, additional bathroom, changing the riveting of the windows, but i have been wondering, why is there no upgrades to install such safety mechanism? is it not practical? is it extremely expensive?
chances are, many singaporeans would not want to shell out money and would be expecting the govt or town council to subsidise...personally, it's really unfair to pin it on the govt that they had build the high rise housings and so they need to help subsidising the cost, i mean, we have been living in such environments, we are aware of the danger but not those domestic helpers - where they come from...but fine, i supposed the govt is ever willing to help out in any manner, but let's get some safety mechanism in place...
when i used to have domestic helper, i always can't help fearing for their safety when they bring out the clothings, etc...and yeah, i should have taken action...
i don't have domestic helper now, and my wife would only take out those light clothings ...
